Welcome to the Official website of the

Provincial Mothers' Union

As a membership-based organisation, we aim to demonstrate our faith in action through the transformation of communities. Our members work at a grassroots level with local churches and communities, to bring hope and practical support to those individuals and families who are left behind. Through our Action, Outreach, Social Issues Unit and as part of the volunteer base of the local church, we aim to practically achieve these goals.

Provincial Mothers’ Union Southern Africa Celebrates 120 years in the Diocese of Eswatini

120 Years Celebration: Join Us! Join In! Mothers’ Union is Changing Lives

Mothers’ Union Southern Africa celebrated its 120th anniversary and hosted the 56th Provincial Council Meeting, attended by Archbishop Dr Thabo Makgoba and Mrs Lungi Makgoba.

The event marked the election of Ms Meisie Lerutla as the new Provincial President for 2025–2027 and a warm farewell to Rev Maria Van Staden, now Zonal Trustee for Zone E.

Past Provincial Presidents — Rev Abigail Tikulu, Mrs Thandi Xundu, and Mrs Thembsie Mchunu — joined a lively panel discussion led by Rev Nkosazana Maqoma, sharing insights from decades of service. To commemorate 120 years of impact, the Provincial Office launched special edition MU scarves, sarongs, and pins.
